Conduct: Confess Yourself

Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada 2007: Tired of spinning your wheels? Had enough of round and round? Ready to get off the Ferris Wheel and the Merry-Go-Round? Then confess to knowing yourself and prove it in the light of the Lord. May your example prove the Bible true and draw others to the light of the truth as well.

From Trent Ling:

Trent Ling shares matters that should be part of the conduct of disciples of Jesus.  For a brief explanation of such postings, please see Conduct in God’s Household.

Men love to shrug their shoulders and mutter, “I don’t know,” when it comes to matters involving them, their hearts, and their minds.  Of course, the world accepts this falsely ignorant overture as a prototypically pathetic par on an utterly destitute and measly course.  But in Christ, such lazy and unwilling shenanigans never take wing.  We don’t buy it!

Men in Christ are not allowed or permitted to claim ignorance when it comes to their own thoughts, their own pangs, or their own deliberate actions.  As usual, the Bible exposes such men as fakes, wimps, and cowards.  Fruitless question-and-answer sessions, and exhausting hide-and-seek gamesmanship don’t play in the Kingdom of God!

“For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man’s spirit within him?”  1 Corinthians 2:11.

“So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.”  Romans 14:12.

God’s Word outs those who claim not to know themselves.

So, let’s have your thoughts and let’s have your account of yourself, already.
