In the Crown of the Statue of Liberty, New York, NY 2010: Ah, the nooks and crannies in which Trent Ling and his people find themselves from time to time. Where in the world will they show up next? Anybody’s guess!

From Trent Ling:

After racing out swiftly to the 300-page mark, this website will temporarily cease its daily updates in order to accommodate an otherwise incompatible descent to finesse and finish an unruly but great project (as encouraged in the preached audio message, “End Game Sync”).  Ironically, just a few days ago, as reported in “Q&A:  Daily Updates for How Long?” the Holy Spirit had prompted consideration of this now undertaken course.  My response to that Q&A at the time showed me to be fairly unaware of the Spirit’s direction.  But miraculously, without being mangled in the usual fashion, I was granted enough grace to call a timeout and to get clarity.

In boat-racing parlance, God has well enabled me to run this site down the front straightaway, into and out of the first turn, and up the backstretch.  Demonstrably doable, these warm-up maneuvers portend well for a multi-faceted playbook down the road.  It remains another question as to which plays, if any, Heaven will call.

“I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen.  I must bring them also.”  John 10:16.

“But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.”  Luke 5:16.

For 22 years, I have spent much time and resource on the sheep of Christ within my own microscopic circles.  Like Jesus, I must get beyond these boundaries and gather others also.  In addition, God is currently nicely calling for more face time with me.  He shall get it.  Beyond that, I remain well aware that ministering, while great, does not top the list of my responsibilities.  Thus, I must be sensitive even to God’s light tugging upon any of my reins.

My intent is to dig deep and to pull to the surface what I have been called to provide.  Chronically unpopular, it is most assuredly guaranteed to displease, of course.  But such will always be the lot of disciples of Jesus whose exploits can actually be read about in the Scriptures.

With 300 pages in the books perpetually standing by for those interested, I certainly do not feel that I have left anyone hanging or hungry.  With unwavering enthusiasm and thrilling vision for the next 300 pages, I hope to land some big fish quickly and joyfully return to our sweet, daily fellowship.  May all grow and prosper in the ever-exciting meantime.

  1. Hey, I’m with Phil; go on!… Thanks for providing the bottomless food bowl. You’re a very responsible parent who supply his children for the rest of their lives and not leaving them in the dark! We are informed in whatever you do and will do, may we imitate your example as you follow Christ’s. Your 300-page will be more than enough for us to chew on… while you’re working on to gather other sheep that are not in this sheep pen.

  2. Trent, I know that what is going to blossom from this new season in your life is going to blow our minds! I can’t wait to see what God has instored for you and how he is going to enhance your efforts to advance the kingdom. Love you, Brother.

  3. Where do I start? I recall discussing different ambitions and plans over a decade ago and ‘here you go’. Never adding to or updating this current site would still fulfill the need of the hour and the hours to come. I agree with Phil, Amen for this shift in gears being one of ease and immediate clarity. Thanks for everything. I can humbly say that I still need ‘much time’ to get through the site as it stands.

  4. Go on bro, do what you’re called to. honestly, I’m just glad that you didn’t have to “go through it” this time upon changing gears; that a tug is all it took. Also you can point to the site for any that may be hungry, without doubt or insecurity at all since there is more than enough for anyone. Thanks for your diligence, we love you

  5. Amen Trent,
You’re always onto some crazy project in The Lord!

What you have already produced for any willing person is substantial.

    Love you.

  6. Amen, Om Trent! Thank you for having showered us with lots and lots of foods that we have plenty of supply in our storage, and we can prove to be Ripen in the Meantime. May we also live Hebrews 13:7, to imitate your faith–someone with the Spirit, who listens to what God has to say and does it.

    Hebrews 13:7
“Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.”
