Podcast: Excellence

Death Valley, CA 2005: Little 11-year-old Isaiah charts a desert course for his family and triumphantly directs them through an odyssey of snow, sand, mountains, valleys, and sunshine. Excellence, indeed!

Trent Ling’s preached message, “Excellence” comes to the website’s podcast library today.

Preached at the beach overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, this essential message ambitiously attempts to move disciples of Jesus and all listeners to the head of the class.  Surely, livers of the truth must not ignore the most excellent ways marked out by love.  Those clearing themselves of this message will find themselves well ahead of worldly curves and standards.

“God has already given, and continues to pour out, his very best,” Trent reasons. “Built up in our most holy faith and cognizant of all that has been sacrificed for us, we cannot help but meet greater and higher standards that serve God more genuinely.  This message does not hold back in giving us a chance to stretch our legs and run down more of what God so graciously offers.  To turn away from the challenge and forsake the calling remains simply unacceptable.  I am hopeful that many will go for excellence today and maintain it across every day that follows.”

This message features the reading and preaching of the following Scriptures:

Isaiah 32:6-8

1 Peter 2:12

1 Corinthians 14:12

Matthew 14:15-18

Philippians 4:9

This is an excellent message! So don’t just tapped the “Excellence” list on your mirrors and forgetting what it said. I still hope that they will go back and listen to this message and live it for real. Thanks for putting this message back up for grab.

  4. What a wonderful message to hear again. And to hear the sounds and examples of camping — and the ocean in the background is a perfect refresher of why excellence should be lived in the first place. I have been a lazy and selfish individual. Thank you Father.

  5. One of my favorite teachings… Still to this day, I have this written on paper hanging in my kitchen as a daily renewal of my mind on how to become excellent. I am thankful for this message.
