Podcast: Trust God

Universal Studios, FL 2001: Not everyone dressed as Santa Claus is Santa Claus. And not everyone standing behind us can be trusted. But at some point, a trusting relationship with God must be established, regardless of how soured on trust we may have become from the past.

Trent Ling’s preached message, “Trust God,” comes to the website’s public audio library.  Preached to help any and all gain an enduring grasp on a loyal and firm relationship with God, this message has become essential listening and living for disciples of Jesus.  Preached matter-of-factly from start to finish, this instruction has crossed many from shaky reliance upon man to solid leaning upon God.

“This message does not simply tell people to trust God,” Trent insists in 2012.  “Rather, it sets out the pathways by which God can and should be trusted, and by which we can know how God renders his verdicts for or against us.  We need never ever wonder where we stand with God. He lovingly and consistently lets us know what he thinks about our thoughts, decisions, and actions.  My hope is to see all cross over to this tangible and solid footing with God, leaving behind the endless need people have to hear from others as to how things are going.  May people set themselves free today!”

This message features the reading and preaching of the following Scriptures:

Hebrews 13:5

Psalm 23:1-4

Psalm 119:67, 71, 73, 75-76

Colossians 2:13-16

1 Peter 2:23

  1. Wow, once again God amazes. Thank you Father for your guidelines in everything and the trust we can freely give you in everything. It is so much easier to Trust God.

  2. We don’t appreciate at the time, but correction is good for us. Otherwise how can we repent or grow if not for correction. God’s ways are for our benefit not his. He needs nothing from us other than obedience.

  3. Wow! I had never seen Psalm 23 like this! The Lord must be my only “shepherd” because He is the only one that can offer me true security and assurance. I have to love God’s “rod and his staff” leading me to the “right path” because it will “comfort me”, even if that rod of discipline seems uncomfortable or unbearable at times. Trusting Him fully will help me walk in confidence because I don’t have to rely on silly, weak me anymore. God is amazing!

  4. Amen! To have trust in God makes my life easier. I hate to go to the dentist, but my teeth love my dentist 🙂 It doesn’t matter that I’ve been sitting in my dentist’s chair often, each time is the same feeling – I have to surrender to him?! But I trust God, He is in charge; I’m fine with trusting my dentist 🙂
