Trent TV: Someone Greater Than You

Today’s Trent TV episode addresses and settles a frequent phenomenon as Trent Ling dares to challenge and disappoint the self-seekers and takers among us.

“Generally, I give everyone the benefit of the doubt,” Trent insists.  “However, after a while it becomes painfully obvious who’s who in any crowd or gathering.  Jesus said that the greatest among us would serve, and my hope is to help people join that honored grouping.  As our needs and wants should be dwindling and expiring in Christ, God should be getting an increasingly ready and able army of those with nothing to do but fulfill His incredible will.”

Watch the exclusive Trent TV video below to see and hear a direct challenge and call against subservience to those supposedly in Christ who remain chronically in need and want:

  1. “Fulfill his incredible will” sounds so beautiful. Christ is so much greater! And you’re so right Mila, what you’ve written is wonderful. It is not about us anymore. Love you

  2. I’m with Lindsey, it’s so true! Last night Trent told me that I should thank him for giving me the lifesaving rebuke, instead of being bothered. I’m also dumbfounded by people who were mad and stormed out because they didn’t like what Trent had to say about them for them or they just mum the word; acting stupid. Really, so that made me doubly stupid! there’s someone greater than me! Amen and thank you for the lifesaving rebuke, Trent 🙂 You’re the best!

  3. I am thankful for this – since I like to give of my time, although lately I am painfully realizing it is partially not to be left alone.
But I enjoy giving money too, and feel that when we reckon we are not the bee’s knees we can give to the kingdom to help people Christ brings our way. Even the lady Jesus referred to as a dog, had enough faith to believe she was worth giving crumbs to, and Jesus honored her faith.

  4. So true. So true! Just last night as I was talking to Chad, I was once again given the realization that I am in want for my emotional needs to be met without seeking Christ first! I want, I want, I want to be right, be heard, blah, blah, blah! As I work most evenings in the restaurant business, there is never a shortage of people wanting things from me or not being happy with what they’ve been given. And I’m always dumbfounded by their requests. Really, I need to focus on my stupid requests and make right with not being in want when I have MORE than enough.

  5. Sorry, using a new device and hence the website didn’t have my name recorded. The above is from me.

  6. Amen and good morning, everyone! It is only when we, disciples, remember why we signed up for this, convicted by the fact that we deserved eating fire but ended up being rescued by God, then we will walk with gratitude knowing it’s not about us anymore. I love this feeling! It is light and easy, and only gets heavy when I start throwing “what about me” in the picture, i.e., life is so tough, everyone needs to understand me, I’m single, wa wa. Really? What about all my needs have been met in Christ–is it not true? Only speaking from experience, stop sucking more attention, God has got us covered! Love to to all!
