Trent TV: Tadpole Test

Today’s Trent TV episode features the time-honored Thanksgiving theme of eating as Trent Ling takes us back to more than a decade ago when his small children and numerous frog larvae joined forces to teach the adult world how easy and wonderful life could be.  Seeing the world so spiritually emaciated across the decades, Trent has long urged many to start the road to recovery and the path to lifelong endurance simply by consuming the real food and drink so readily available.

“When the kids’ tadpoles would see food atop the water line, they would hustle up there, rotate themselves upside down, and work their mouths vigorously and blindly until they had their fill,” Trent recalls. “Just as the Scriptures advise us to watch and consider the ant, I watched and considered these pollywogs.  Surely, if we cannot run with prepubescent frogs, we probably are not going to make it in the Kingdom of God.  At some point, we have to own up to the verdicts being lodged against us from Heaven.  But, for today, I implore all once again to eat well of the spiritual offerings from God’s incredible table.”

  1. Physically, I am not a good eater especially when in Indo with the heat and humidity, I just don’t have the appetite. But, I force myself to eat at the set time every day, even only a little, for health sake. I need it. Similarly spiritually, I could find a million excuses not to feed myself, but I need it, hence I feed myself. The food is readily made available, not that I have to hunt for it. I believe if one feels no need for it, it is over. Anemic, anemic, sick, and die.

  2. …and this analogy wouldn’t be any good without knowing EXACTLY how many tadpoles there were. I remember those cute little eating machines.
