Video Preach: Fast Track

In the corporate, political, educational, and religious worlds, dues must be paid and time must be marked in order to climb ladders of “success.”  But, in the Kingdom of God, the real deal can be had and people can be transformed as quickly and as powerfully as one is willing and up for it.  In the short video clip below, excerpted from his preached message “Baptism” (from 2012), Trent Ling sets out how mightily and quickly a complete turnaround can be had.

“I clearly recall my thoughts and directions when the Word was first shared with me,” Trent recounts. “Within 30 days, my life utterly and completely changed.  I became a new creation according to the Scriptures, and against all odds I found myself in the Kingdom of God.  Similarly, I offer to any and all that same opportunity and abundance.  The only obstacles lay solely in the hearts and minds of each and every.  There are no external roadblocks that could not and would not be blown to smithereens.  The Kingdom is very exciting to say the least.  There is no reason to delay it’s offer and calling any further.”

Video Preach: Fast Track — 4 Comments

  1. Amen! I have witnessed God’s transforming power in action in my life! My life went from being a total train wreck to a life of fullness, freedom, and power in only a few hours. Something I had been looking for in my 30 years of “church hopping” was given to me in a few hours of real, unwatered down, unadulterated teaching of the truth in the Scriptures. After 30 years of religious phoniness I can now attest that Jesus’ sacrifice in the cross truly transformed and healed me, the worst of sinners. Thank you God!

  2. The other day at work I was sharing with a co-worker about my baptism. It still brings tears to me to remember the realization of how undeserving I was (we all are). I told her about how disconnected I was regarding Jesus and his sacrifice. I even would read about his last days and think poorly of the spectators and torturers. When reality/humility hit me – it was like a ton of bricks. I am like the spectators, mockers, torturers, and do-nothingers in Jesus’ time as he walked to his bloody and painful death. Each time I sinned, it was as if I hammered the nail, spit on his face, placed the crown of thorns on his head… So much to be thankful for and so many reasons to keep being faithful and so many reasons to join in the good fight and become one of the few soldiers to harvest the plentiful harvest. Thank you for the reminder.

  3. Though outwardly my life was looking good, inwardly I was tired! I needed a change… ; to make a long story short, Bible was introduced and that’s it – sold! I became a new creation! It didn’t take long for me to decide and changed 180-degree when I heard what the Cross really means and how God will forgive all the many, many sins I made deliberately and not realizingly. How are you not cut to the heart and keep on sinning knowing that God is so in love with you?

  4. I agree based on what I’ve seen happened in this ministry as well. It’s all about heart and willingness. It is not about age, how experienced we are in life, amount of mistakes or wrongdoings, but whether we want to make it happen or not! And God will take it from there. If we can’t say yes to God’s calling today for excuse not being ready yet, we will never be that ready even 10 years later down the road because the “me” factor will just get thicker.
