Video Preach: I Hear You God

Back at the legendary ministry stomping grounds of Rose Place Park, Trent Ling implored the disciples of Jesus to honor God by being sharper and swifter.  This excerpt from the message, “Shrewdness,” provides the flavor of that day.

“There are many moving parts in the life of a disciple and in a ministry of disciples,” Trent acknowledges.  “The only way to keep from being swamped by a tidal wave of complexity is to wise up and act accordingly.  We have neither an obligation nor a right to be fast and loose with the precious truth with which we’ve amazingly been entrusted.”

Enjoy the brief clip below and try to see where you might stand on the shrewdness scale.

  1. Oh man! You mean we can actually be more then we are? (I have been such a slave to me!) That I can actually be something worthy of God’s attention? That God has been waiting patiently for my heart to beat for HIs purpose – and He’s helping all along the way to do His purpose? Wow God! Thank you! Talk about freedom! “John 8:32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” and “John 8:36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” and “Galatians 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” I really need to act like I’m free! Free to love others with what God has done in me, free to put a life together that glorifies Him! Free to offer others the very same thing He has offered me! Wow! It’s like blood flowing through each of us! ; ) Shrewdness can be beautiful and even fun! Love you all!
